Loop Electro-Excision Precedure (LEEP)

The Loop Electro-Excision Procedure (LEEP) is a surgical procedure used to treat cervical dysplasia. This condition occurs when the cells of the cervix change and become abnormal. When the cells of the cervix become abnormal, they may become cancerous.

Amen Health Care and Empowerment Foundation in June 2022 trained two doctors and four nurses to treat high grade precancerous lesions which cannot be effectively taken care of by visual inspection with Acetic acid (VIA) and Cryotherapy, with the Loop Electro-Excision Procedure.
